Description

A moist and flavorful cake inspired by the taste of apple cider donuts, perfect for fall.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup apple cider

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch cake pan.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until light. Beat in eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  4. Alternate adding dry ingredients and apple cider to the batter.
  5. Pour batter into the pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  6. Cool before serving.
