- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a donut pan.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and spices in a bowl.
- In another bowl, mix sugars, apple cider, milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients. Stir until just mixed.
- Fill donut pan cavities 2/3 full with batter.
- Bake 10-12 minutes until donuts spring back when touched.
- Cool in pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Dip warm donuts in cinnamon sugar if desired.
Notes
- Reduce apple cider for thicker batter if needed
- Substitute buttermilk for milk if preferred
- Store airtight for up to 2 days
- Freeze unbaked batter for later use
