Description

Apple cinnamon oat bars are a delicious and healthy snack. They combine sweet apples with warm cinnamon and hearty oats.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix oats, flour, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Add melted butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Press half the mixture into the prepared pan.
  5. Toss apples with lemon juice and vanilla extract.
  6. Spread apples evenly over the crust.
  7. Sprinkle remaining oat mixture on top.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool completely before cutting into bars.

  • Use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
  • Substitute maple syrup for brown sugar if preferred.
