Description

A classic dessert with tender apples topped with a crunchy brown sugar and cinnamon crumble.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups peeled and sliced apples
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup cold butter, cubed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Toss apple slices with 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon.
  3. Spread apples in a greased baking dish.
  4. Mix flour, oats, remaining brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Cut in butter until crumbly.
  6. Sprinkle topping over apples.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden.

Notes

  • Use tart apples like Granny Smith for best results.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
  • Store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.
