Description
A rustic French-style apple galette with a flaky crust and tender apples.
Ingredients

- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
- 3–4 tbsp ice water
- 3 medium apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Mix flour and salt in a bowl.
- Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add ice water one tbsp at a time until the dough comes together.
- Shape into a disk, wrap, and chill for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll dough into a circle on parchment paper.
- Toss apples with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
- Arrange apples in the center, leaving a 2-inch border.
- Fold edges over the apples.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden.
Notes
- Use cold butter for a flaky crust.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
