- 2 cups diced apples
- 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 package puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix apples, ginger, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a bowl.
- Roll out puff pastry and cut into squares.
- Spoon filling onto one half of each square.
- Fold pastry over and seal edges with a fork.
- Brush with egg wash and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
Notes
- Use firm apples like Granny Smith for best texture.
- Adjust ginger to taste for more or less spice.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.
