Description

Flaky pastry turnovers filled with a sweet and spicy apple-ginger mixture. Perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 package puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix apples, ginger, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a bowl.
  3. Roll out puff pastry and cut into squares.
  4. Spoon filling onto one half of each square.
  5. Fold pastry over and seal edges with a fork.
  6. Brush with egg wash and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.

Notes

  • Use firm apples like Granny Smith for best texture.
  • Adjust ginger to taste for more or less spice.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.
