Description

A comforting and creamy apple rice pudding that combines tender rice, sweet apples, and warm spices for a delightful dessert.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water and drain.
  2. In a pot, bring water to a boil. Add rice, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. Add milk, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir well.
  4. Cook on low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add diced apples and vanilla extract. Cook for another 10 minutes.
  6. Stir in butter and remove from heat. Let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use firm apples like Granny Smith for better texture.
  • Adjust sugar to taste.
  • For a richer taste, use whole milk or add a splash of cream.
