Ingredients

- 1 lb sausage
- 2 cups diced apples
- 4 cups bread cubes
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 2 tbsp fresh sage
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Cook sausage in a skillet until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onions and celery until soft.
- Add apples, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for 3 minutes.
- Mix in bread cubes and cooked sausage.
- Pour chicken broth over the mixture and stir well.
- Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 30 minutes until golden.
Notes
- Use day-old bread for better texture.
- Adjust herbs to your taste.
- Can be made ahead and reheated.
