Creamy Avocado Sushi Rolls in Just 30 Minutes

Description

Easy-to-make avocado sushi rolls perfect for a quick snack or light meal. Fresh, healthy, and delicious.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 4 sheets nori (seaweed)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Rinse sushi rice under cold water until water runs clear.
  2. Cook rice with water in a rice cooker or pot until tender.
  3. Mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl and fold into cooked rice.
  4. Lay a nori sheet on a bamboo mat and spread rice evenly over it.
  5. Place avocado slices in the center of the rice.
  6. Roll tightly using the bamboo mat, sealing the edge with water.
  7. Slice into pieces with a sharp knife and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  8. Serve with soy sauce.

Notes

  • Use short-grain rice for best results.
  • Keep hands wet to prevent rice from sticking.
  • Slice avocado just before assembling to prevent browning.
