Description

A delicious and easy-to-make baked French toast casserole perfect for breakfast or brunch.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread, cut into cubes
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp corn syrup

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Place bread cubes in the dish.
  3. Whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a bowl.
  4. Pour mixture over bread cubes. Press down to soak.
  5. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Mix melted butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup. Drizzle over the casserole.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.
