Description

Spicy jalapeño peppers stuffed with cheese and breadcrumbs, then baked to perfection.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 fresh jalapeño peppers
  • 1 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove seeds.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
  5. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the stuffed jalapeños and drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Wear gloves when handling jalapeños to avoid skin irritation.
  • Adjust the amount of cheese or breadcrumbs to taste.
  • For extra crispiness, broil for the last 2 minutes.
