Description
Delicious baked pumpkin donuts coated in cinnamon sugar for a perfect fall treat.
Ingredients

- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 1 tbsp cinnamon (for coating)
- 4 tbsp melted butter (for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan.
- Mix flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves in a bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk brown sugar, pumpkin puree, milk, egg, and melted butter.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Spoon batter into donut pan, filling each cavity 3/4 full.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool donuts for 5 minutes, then remove from pan.
- Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
- Brush each donut with melted butter, then coat with cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Use canned pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
- Don’t overmix the batter to keep donuts light.
- Let donuts cool slightly before coating with sugar.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
