A delicious caramel apple spice cake perfect for fall.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 cups peeled and diced apples
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch cake pan.
- Whisk flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar until light. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
- Alternate mixing dry ingredients and buttermilk into the batter.
- Fold in apples. Pour batter into pan.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over cooled cake.
