- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp red food coloring
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup red candy melts (for drip)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg, vanilla, and red food coloring.
- Gradually mix in dry ingredients. Fold in white chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough into balls and place on the baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Let cookies cool. Melt red candy melts and drizzle over cookies to create the blood drip effect.
- Allow to set before serving.
Notes
- For a richer red, add extra food coloring.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes if too soft to handle.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
