Description

A rich and spiced pumpkin pie with a hint of bourbon and maple syrup for a unique twist on a classic dessert.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (15 oz) can pumpkin puree
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp bourbon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
  • 1 cup heavy cream (for topping, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix pumpkin puree, brown sugar, maple syrup, bourbon, eggs, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt until smooth.
  3. Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 45-50 minutes until set.
  5. Let the pie cool completely before slicing. Serve with whipped cream if desired.

Notes

  • Use pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
  • For a stronger bourbon flavor, add an extra tablespoon.
  • Let the pie cool to room temperature before refrigerating.
