Description

These brown butter blondies are rich, chewy, and packed with flavor. The brown butter adds a deep, nutty taste that pairs perfectly with the sweetness of the blondie.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until it turns golden brown. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk the brown sugar into the cooled brown butter. Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  4. Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let cool before cutting into squares.

  • For extra flavor, toast the butter until it has a deep amber color.
