Description

A simple and delicious side dish featuring tender carrots glazed with brown sugar for a sweet and savory flavor.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add carrots and sauté for 3 minutes.
  3. Stir in brown sugar, salt, pepper, and water.
  4. Cover and cook for 8-10 minutes until carrots are tender.
  5. Uncover and cook for 2 more minutes to thicken the glaze.
  6. Serve warm.

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg.
  • Use honey as a substitute for brown sugar if preferred.
