Description
A refreshing and vibrant butterfly pea lemonade, naturally colored and packed with flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 cup dried butterfly pea flowers
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 3 tbsp honey or sweetener of choice
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
- Steep butterfly pea flowers in hot water for 5 minutes. Strain and let cool.
- Mix lemon juice and sweetener in a pitcher.
- Pour the cooled butterfly pea tea into the pitcher.
- Stir well and refrigerate until chilled.
- Serve over ice with lemon slices.
Notes
- Add more sweetener if needed.
- For a color-changing effect, add a squeeze of lemon directly in the glass.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days.
