- 2 slices of bread
- 4 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
- 1 medium tomato, sliced
- 4–5 fresh basil leaves
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Layer mozzarella, tomato, and basil on the unbuttered side of one bread slice.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Top with the second bread slice, buttered side up.
- Drizzle olive oil in the skillet.
- Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove from heat, slice, and serve.
