- 6 medium apples
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 6 wooden sticks
Instructions
- Wash and dry the apples. Insert a wooden stick into the top of each apple.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and water. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Bring the mixture to a boil without stirring. Cook until it turns golden brown.
- Remove from heat and carefully add heavy cream, butter, vanilla, and salt. Stir until smooth.
- Dip each apple into the caramel, swirling to coat evenly. Place on the baking sheet.
- Let the caramel set for 30 minutes before serving.

- Use tart apples like Granny Smith for best results.
- Work quickly when dipping apples as caramel thickens.
