Description

A spooky and delicious caramel apple spider web cake perfect for Halloween. This moist apple cake is topped with a caramel drizzle and decorated with a spider web design.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups grated apples
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup melted chocolate

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. Whisk flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Mix in grated apples, then fold in dry ingredients.
  5. Pour batter into pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
  6. Cool cake, then drizzle with caramel sauce.
  7. Use melted chocolate to draw a spider web design.
