- 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 4 medium apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the pie crust and press it into a tart pan.
- In a bowl, mix apples, sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
- Melt butter in a skillet, add apple mixture, and cook for 5 minutes.
- Spread caramel sauce over the crust.
- Arrange cooked apples on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
- Use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
- Drizzle extra caramel on top before serving.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream for a richer dessert.
