Description

Sweet and salty caramel pretzel rods, a simple yet delicious treat. Perfect for parties or as a gift.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 12 pretzel rods
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, melt sugar over medium heat, stirring until golden.
  3. Add butter and stir until melted.
  4. Slowly pour in heavy cream, stirring continuously.
  5. Remove from heat and mix in vanilla and salt.
  6. Dip each pretzel rod into the caramel, coating evenly.
  7. Roll in chopped nuts if desired.
  8. Place on parchment paper to cool and harden.
