Description

Chocolate crinkle cookies are soft, fudgy, and coated in powdered sugar for a crackled appearance. Perfect for holidays or any sweet craving.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix granulated sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  5. Chill dough for 1 hour.
  6. Roll dough into 1-inch balls, then coat each in powdered sugar.
  7. Place cookies on the baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cookies crackle and edges set.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
