Ingredients

- 6 cups apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix apples, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Transfer to a baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in the butter until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the topping over the apples.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
- Serve warm with ice cream if desired.
Notes
- Use tart apples like Granny Smith for the best flavor.
- The topping can be prepared ahead and refrigerated.
