Ingredients

- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 5–6 lemons)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 6 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices and mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a pitcher, combine the sugar and 1 cup of warm water. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and stir well.
- Pour in the remaining 5 cups of cold water and mix thoroughly.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness by adding more sugar or lemon juice if needed.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices and mint if desired.
Notes
- For a smoother texture, strain the lemon juice before mixing.
- Adjust sugar and lemon to suit your taste.
- Store leftover lemonade in the fridge for up to 3 days.
