Description

A refreshing and tangy classic lemonade made with simple ingredients.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 56 lemons)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices and mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a pitcher, combine the sugar and 1 cup of warm water. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and stir well.
  3. Pour in the remaining 5 cups of cold water and mix thoroughly.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness by adding more sugar or lemon juice if needed.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  6. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices and mint if desired.

Notes

  • For a smoother texture, strain the lemon juice before mixing.
  • Adjust sugar and lemon to suit your taste.
  • Store leftover lemonade in the fridge for up to 3 days.
