Description

A traditional pumpkin pie with a flaky crust and smooth, spiced filling.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
  • 1 (15 oz) can pumpkin puree
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Roll out pie crust and place in a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk pumpkin puree, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt.
  4. Beat in eggs, then gradually stir in evaporated milk.
  5. Pour filling into the pie crust.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 40-45 minutes.
  7. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • Use homemade or store-bought pie crust.
  • Check doneness by inserting a knife near the center—it should come out clean.
