Description

A classic dessert made with cranberries and bread, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups cubed bread
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer bread cubes and cranberries in the dish.
  4. Whisk milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
  5. Pour mixture over bread and cranberries.
  6. Drizzle melted butter on top.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes until golden and set.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

  • Use stale bread for better texture.
  • Dried cranberries can replace fresh ones.
  • Top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
