Description

A delicious pastry with layers of buttery dough and sweet cranberry filling.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, cold
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add water and mix until dough forms.
  4. Roll dough into a rectangle and fold into thirds.
  5. Repeat folding process twice, chilling between folds.
  6. Mix cranberries, brown sugar, and vanilla in a bowl.
  7. Roll dough, spread cranberry filling, and fold.
  8. Cut into squares and bake at 375°F for 25 minutes.

Notes

  • Keep butter cold for flaky layers.
  • Chill dough between folds to prevent sticking.
  • Adjust sugar to taste.
