- 1 1/2 cups fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Spread melted butter evenly in the pan. Sprinkle brown sugar over butter.
- Arrange cranberries in a single layer over sugar.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Beat granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Alternate adding flour mixture and milk.
- Pour batter over cranberries. Bake 35-40 minutes until golden.
- Cool 5 minutes before inverting onto serving plate.
Notes

- Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
- Store leftovers covered at room temperature.
