Ingredients

  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm milk and let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Add yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg to the dry ingredients.
  4. Knead the dough until smooth, then let it rise for 1 hour.
  5. Mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract for the filling.
  6. Roll out the dough and cut into circles.
  7. Add a spoonful of filling to each circle, fold, and seal.
  8. Bake at 375°F for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
