A creamy and cheesy baked cauliflower gratin perfect for a comforting side dish.
Ingredients

- 1 large cauliflower, cut into florets
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Steam or boil cauliflower florets until tender, about 5 minutes. Drain well.
- In a saucepan, heat heavy cream, garlic, salt, pepper, and nutmeg over medium heat. Do not boil.
- Stir in cheddar and Parmesan until melted.
- Place cauliflower in a baking dish and pour the creamy cheese sauce over it.
- Top with breadcrumbs and dot with butter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Use fresh cauliflower for the best texture.
- For a crispier top, broil for the last 2 minutes.
- Add cooked bacon or herbs for extra flavor.
