Description

A creamy and cheesy baked cauliflower gratin perfect for a comforting side dish.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Steam or boil cauliflower florets until tender, about 5 minutes. Drain well.
  3. In a saucepan, heat heavy cream, garlic, salt, pepper, and nutmeg over medium heat. Do not boil.
  4. Stir in cheddar and Parmesan until melted.
  5. Place cauliflower in a baking dish and pour the creamy cheese sauce over it.
  6. Top with breadcrumbs and dot with butter.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh cauliflower for the best texture.
  • For a crispier top, broil for the last 2 minutes.
  • Add cooked bacon or herbs for extra flavor.
