- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 egg yolks

Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine cranberries and sugar. Cook over medium heat until cranberries burst and sugar dissolves.
- Blend the cooked cranberries until smooth, then strain to remove seeds.
- In another saucepan, heat milk and cream until just simmering.
- Whisk egg yolks in a bowl, then gradually add the hot milk mixture, whisking constantly.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat until it thickens.
- Remove from heat, stir in the cranberry puree and vanilla extract.
- Cool the mixture completely, then churn in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Transfer to a container and freeze until firm.
