Description

A rich and creamy Hungarian mushroom soup with a smooth texture and earthy flavors.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 lb mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried dill
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a pot over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and cook until soft.
  3. Stir in mushrooms and garlic, cooking until mushrooms release their juices.
  4. Sprinkle flour and stir to coat evenly.
  5. Pour in vegetable broth and bring to a simmer.
  6. Add heavy cream, paprika, dill, salt, and pepper.
  7. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Stir in lemon juice and adjust seasoning if needed.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use cremini or button mushrooms for best results.
  • For a thicker soup, simmer longer.
