- 4 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup milk or cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Place sweet potatoes in a large pot and cover with water.
- Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium and cook for 15-20 minutes until tender.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add butter, milk, salt, pepper, and cinnamon (if using).
- Mash with a potato masher or blend until smooth.
- Serve warm.
