Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the onion into 1/2-inch rings.
  2. Separate the rings and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. Beat the eggs in another bowl.
  5. Place breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  6. Dip each onion ring into the flour mix, then the eggs, and finally the breadcrumbs.
  7. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  8. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  9. Place onion rings in the basket in a single layer.
  10. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.

Notes

  • Use sweet onions for a milder taste.
  • Panko breadcrumbs yield extra crispiness.
