Description

A delicious deep-dish apple pie with a flaky crust and sweet cinnamon-spiced apples.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups thinly sliced apples
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Mix apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice in a bowl.
  3. Line a deep-dish pie plate with one crust.
  4. Pour apple mixture into crust and dot with butter.
  5. Cover with second crust, seal edges, and cut slits in top.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Cool before serving.

Notes

  • Use tart apples like Granny Smith for best flavor.
  • Cover edges with foil if crust browns too quickly.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
