Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup cranberry jam
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  3. Add milk and egg, then knead into a dough.
  4. Roll dough into a rectangle.
  5. Spread cranberry jam down the center.
  6. Cut diagonal strips along the sides and fold over the filling.
  7. Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes.
  8. Mix powdered sugar and water for icing, then drizzle over the pastry.

  • Let dough rest for 10 minutes before rolling.
