Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix flour and salt in a bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add ice water one tablespoon at a time until dough forms.
- Roll out dough and cut into circles to fit mini muffin tin.
- Combine apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a bowl.
- Spoon apple mixture into dough-lined muffin cups.
- Top with additional dough circles or lattice strips.
- Brush tops with egg wash.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool before serving.
Notes
- Use tart apples like Granny Smith for best results.
- Dough can be made ahead and refrigerated.
