Description

A simple and delicious mushroom toast recipe, perfect for breakfast or a quick snack.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices of bread (sourdough or whole wheat)
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Grated cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes until tender.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Toast the bread until golden brown.
  6. Spoon the mushroom mixture over the toast.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley or grated cheese if desired.
  8. Serve warm.

  • Use any type of mushrooms you prefer.
  • Add a pinch of thyme or rosemary for extra flavor.
  • For a vegan version, skip the butter and cheese.
