Description
A delicious upside-down plum tart with caramelized sugar.
Ingredients

- 6 plums, halved and pitted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add sugar and vanilla extract, stir until caramelized.
- Arrange plum halves cut-side down in the caramel.
- Roll out puff pastry and place over plums, tucking edges.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.
- Let cool slightly, then invert onto a plate.
Notes
- Use ripe but firm plums.
- Work quickly when handling caramel.
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
