Description
A tangy and slightly spicy tomatillo salsa verde perfect for tacos, enchiladas, or as a dip.
Ingredients

- 1 lb tomatillos, husked and rinsed
- 1–2 jalapeños, stems removed
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp lime juice
Instructions
- Boil tomatillos and jalapeños in water for 10 minutes until soft.
- Drain and transfer to a blender.
- Add onion, garlic, cilantro, salt, water, and lime juice.
- Blend until smooth.
- Adjust salt and lime juice to taste.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for later use.
Notes
- Remove jalapeño seeds for a milder salsa.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- Use as a topping for grilled meats or eggs.
