Description

French Onion Soup Sliders are a delicious twist on the classic soup, featuring mini sandwiches packed with caramelized onions, melted cheese, and savory beef.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 12 mini slider buns
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Heat butter and olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add onions, sugar, salt, and pepper. Cook until caramelized.
  3. In a separate pan, cook ground beef until browned. Add Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Assemble sliders by placing beef and onions on the bottom half of each bun.
  6. Top with cheese and the other half of the bun.
  7. Place sliders on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use a sharp knife to slice onions thinly.
  • For extra flavor, toast the buns before assembling.
  • Substitute Gruyère with Swiss cheese if desired.
