Description

A simple and flavorful roast chicken seasoned with garlic and herbs.


Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken (34 lbs)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 lemon, halved

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
  3. Mix garlic, olive oil, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Rub the mixture evenly over the chicken.
  5. Place lemon halves inside the chicken cavity.
  6. Roast for 1 hour 15 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  7. Let rest for 10 minutes before carving.
