Description
A refreshing and zesty ginger lemonade perfect for hot days. This drink combines the spicy kick of ginger with the tangy freshness of lemon.
Ingredients

- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 1/4 cup grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 cup honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices and mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine grated ginger and 1 cup of water. Simmer for 5 minutes, then let it steep for 10 minutes.
- Strain the ginger water into a pitcher, discarding the solids.
- Add lemon juice, honey (or sugar), and remaining 3 cups of cold water to the pitcher. Stir well until sweetener dissolves.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Serve over ice, garnished with lemon slices and mint if desired.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey/sugar.
- For a stronger ginger flavor, steep longer or add more ginger.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
