- 1 box yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Mix cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg until combined. Press into the pan.
- Beat cream cheese, 2 eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix well.
- Spread filling over the crust. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until edges are golden and center is set but still slightly soft.
- Cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Do not overbake—the center should remain gooey.
- Store leftovers covered at room temperature for up to 3 days.
