Description

Soft and chewy cinnamon sugar cookies perfect for the holidays.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar until fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  4. Mix flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture.
  6. Combine 2 tbsp sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  7. Roll dough into 1-inch balls, then coat in cinnamon sugar.
  8. Place on baking sheets 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
  10. Cool on wire racks.

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
  • For extra softness, slightly underbake.
  • Dough can be refrigerated for up to 2 days.
