- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups vegetable or beef broth
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup heavy cream (optional)
Instructions
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add mushrooms, onion, and garlic. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in broth until smooth.
- Add Worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper.
- Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- If using, stir in heavy cream for extra richness.
- Serve warm over your favorite dishes.
