Description

Quick and easy honey garlic shrimp with a sweet and savory glaze.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thicker sauce)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add shrimp and cook for 2 minutes per side until pink. Remove from pan.
  3. In the same pan, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Stir in honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Mix cornstarch with water and add to the sauce if you prefer it thicker.
  6. Return shrimp to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.
  7. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use fresh or frozen shrimp. Thaw frozen shrimp before cooking.
  • Adjust honey and soy sauce to taste.
  • Add more red pepper flakes for extra heat.
  • Serve over rice or noodles.
