Description

Savory meatballs seasoned with Italian herbs, shaped like mummies for a fun twist.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 strips of mozzarella cheese
  • 24 small black olives (for eyes)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Mix beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Shape mixture into small oval meatballs.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes.
  5. Wrap each meatball with mozzarella strips to resemble mummy bandages.
  6. Add olive slices for eyes.
  7. Return to oven for 3 minutes to melt cheese.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use lean beef for less grease.
  • Chill meat mixture for easier shaping.
  • For spicier meatballs, add red pepper flakes.
